Advent Episcopal School seeks a warm, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Director of Admission to serve as the first and primary point of contact for prospective families. This individual will report to the Assistant Head of School for Advancement and will play a vital role in advancing the school’s enrollment goals by providing a welcoming, informed, and highly personalized experience to families exploring Advent. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to manage responsibilities independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions & Enrollment Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all admissions inquiries and applicants
Maintain an active understanding of the school’s academic program, philosophy, and culture to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
Manage the full admissions funnel, including inquiry response, application review, decision communication, and enrollment follow-up
Conduct campus tours for prospective families, effectively communicating the school’s mission, programs, and culture
Schedule and coordinate student assessments, shadow days, and classroom visits
Support the assessment process by gathering teacher feedback and assisting with application review as appropriate
Maintain timely, warm, and consistent communication with prospective families, ensuring every family feels known, valued, and supported throughout the process
Track admissions data, interactions, and outcomes using the school’s enrollment management system while ensuring confidentiality and integrity of data
Assist with internal retention efforts and serve as a partner in ensuring that current families continue to feel connected and supported
Events & Community Engagement
Plan, coordinate, and execute admissions events, including open houses, prospective family gatherings, and grade-level or division-specific events
Represent the school at community events, school fairs, and other outreach opportunities as needed
Partner with faculty and staff to ensure a welcoming and seamless experience for visiting families
Marketing, Lead Generation & Collaboration
Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Communications Strategist to generate and nurture new leads
Contribute to admissions messaging, campaigns, and content that supports enrollment goals
Monitor trends and enrollment patterns to inform recruitment strategies
Strategy, Reporting & Collaboration
Provide data-driven insights and regular updates to the Assistant Head of School for Advancement to inform strategic planning
Provide regular admissions reports, including inquiry volume, applicant progress, yield, and enrollment trends
Participate in admissions planning, forecasting, and goal-setting
Collaborate with advancement, finance, and academic leadership as appropriate to support institutional priorities
Bachelor’s degree required
3-5 years of experience in admissions, enrollment, marketing, or a related field (preferably in an independent school, college/university, or non-profit setting).
Passion for education and a strong alignment with Advent Episcopal School’s mission and values.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport quickly and authentically.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.
