Lincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent K-12 Quaker girls’ school in Providence, Rhode Island. We also offer a coed program from six weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. We are currently seeking applicants for an Associate Director of Admission beginning in April 2026. The 12-month position joins a dynamic team that plays an integral role in Lincoln School’s recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts. The Associate Director brings a strong understanding of school culture and serves as a compelling brand ambassador to both internal and external audiences in support of the admission/enrollment process. Lincoln School values working with a diverse faculty and staff and seeks applications from individuals who share our commitment to educating girls to fearlessly embrace the opportunities and responsibilities of full citizenship in a complex world.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ? Build and cultivate relationships with prospective students, families, sending schools, alumni, and the community in an effort to attract qualified and diverse mission appropriate applicants to Lincoln School. ? Management of Green Key, Lincoln Schools Student Ambassador Program, including meeting regularly with student ambassadors, planning events, organizing sub-committees, and facilitating the selection of student presidents each spring. ? Represent and share breadth and depth of knowledge of Lincoln School and the advantages of a school for girls through school fairs, campus tours, visits to sending schools, and community outreach. Plan, organize, promote, and execute admission events in collaboration with the Admission team. ? Create and support Lincoln School’s efforts to promote, recruit, and enroll a diverse student body and to foster an inclusive community that values and affirms all members. Contribute to conversations and strategy that will increase racial equity in the admission and enrollment process. ? Communicate with families beginning with the inquiry process and throughout the application process. Manage the systematic and efficient handling of applications. ? Conduct interviews with candidates and parents/guardians, ensuring the best experience for applicants; facilitate an impactful student admission ambassador program.
? Member of the Admission Committee with responsibilities including making recommendations and decisions regarding a candidate’s application for enrollment. Solid judgment, integrity, and knowledge of the institution's enrollment goals and mission is required. ? Utilize an online data system (Veracross) as it relates to admission and enrollment. Analyze data collection to make data driven recommendations and decisions in the recruitment and admission process. ? Collaborate with members of the Marketing & Communications and Admission teams in the development and implementation of a comprehensive and dynamic communication strategy.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not supervise any other employees at Lincoln School.
Qualifications: ? The ability to independently manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment ? Strong organizational skills ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Exceptional interpersonal skills ? The ability to connect with multiple constituents including current and prospective families, students, colleagues, and sending schools ? Strong data system experience and willingness to learn required
? Admission and/or independent school experience preferred ? Experience with or familiarity in international student recruitment preferred but not required
