Assistant/Associate Director of Admission Full-Time, 12-Month Position
Summary/Objective:
Oxbridge Academy seeks a customer-service–oriented, detail-driven, flexible, and kind-hearted Assistant or Associate Director of Admission to join a dynamic and mission-aligned Admission Team. The Assistant/Associate Director, in collaboration with Admission Team, is responsible for the recruitment, selection, admission, and onboarding of new students to the school, and ensures a smooth process from inquiry through enrollment.
Reporting to the Director of Admission, the Assistant/Associate Director will support all aspects of student recruitment, selection, and onboarding. Responsibilities include representing the school at community events; articulating the value of an Oxbridge education to prospective families; planning and executing admission events; managing and guiding a caseload of applicants; evaluating applications as a member of the Admission Committee; communicating decisions; and supporting newly enrolled students and families during their transition to Oxbridge.
The successful candidate will also bring strong social media and marketing skills to develop and enhance the Admission Office’s outreach efforts. This includes responsibility for digital content creation, supporting campaigns that communicate the school’s mission and programs, and collaborating with the Communications Team to maintain a consistent and compelling presence across online platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment; demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills; and bring a warm, welcoming, and hospitality-centered approach to every interaction.
Employee is responsible for understanding the Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee Handbook and other school policies of Oxbridge Academy, ensuring the adherence of these policies in performance, action and self-conduct.
Tasks/Essential Functions:
Represent the school at various recruitment events; speak publicly to individuals and groups on and off campus about the value of an Oxbridge education, the experience, and the admission and financial aid process.
Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current families, in person, on the telephone, and via digital communication throughout the entire application process, from inquiry through enrollment. Lead campus tours.
Counsel prospective students and families through the admission process using our admission management system and portal.
Confidently lead a campus tour for prospective students and families.
Conduct both individual and group interviews with prospective students and families.
Plan and execute various recruitment and admission programs and events, including campus visits, open houses, shadow visits, interview days, admitted student events, and newly enrolled student and family events.
Evaluate applicant files and make admission decisions as part of an Admission Committee.
Work with the Director to generate all admission letters and communications (print and digital) and release admission decisions as instructed.
In collaboration with the Communications Team, assume a leading role in developing content for both print and digital marketing communications to promote the school.
Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
Experience working with diverse communities required.
3+ years’ experience in a school or non-profit environment required.
Has excellent integrity and demonstrates good moral character and initiative.
Exhibits a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, and parents.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effectively communicate sensitive information to both students and parents.
Effectively support and advocate for diverse populations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all federal and state laws regarding student and family information.
Strong attention to detail and punctuality.
Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities to create online content across multiple platforms to promote the school.
Effectively present admission and financial aid information to both small and large groups.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work, take direction, and contribute ideas to the overall enrollment strategy and execution.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs and web-based software.
Possess the ability to learn student information systems, databases and new technologies quickly.
