Mount Notre Dame High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to serve as the Director of Enrollment Management. This pivotal role will lead our efforts to attract and retain a diverse student body while fostering a strong sense of community and commitment to our mission. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the enrollment landscape, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for promoting the values of Mount Notre Dame and the importance of an all-girls, Catholic education. This role also provides leadership and expertise to achieve the fullest attainment of the mission and vision while continuing the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Enrollment Management is a direct report to the President. The Director builds and leads the comprehensive strategy for recruiting prospective students, partners with the school’s marketing/communications staff to effectively promote MND’s value proposition to prospective families and oversee all activities that support recruitment. The Director is responsible for creating the atmosphere and overseeing activities that build enrollment, strengthen retention and promote a long-term positive image of the school.
This is a full-time, 12-month, in-office position. Key responsibilities include managing recruitment, admission, and retention processes for students in grades 9-12. The Director will also oversee MND’s merit scholarship programs and Ohio EdChoice scholarships, as well as summer programs. Additionally, this role is a key member in partnership with the school’s Advancement Team—encompassing Admissions, Marketing/Communication, Development, and Alumnae Relations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enrollment Management
Develop short- and long-term enrollment goals. Implement strategies and programs to ensure Freshmen enrollment and overall student retention goals are met.
Provide enrollment forecasting data, including local trends and relevant statistics throughout the admission and re-enrollment process, while identifying and utilizing available resources to conduct market research on internal and external factors that may affect enrollment.
Execute recruitment/outreach/retention activities and events that showcase the MND experience and attract new student enrollment. Key events and programs include: Admissions Information Nights, Grade School Events, Shadowing Program, Open House, HSPT program, Financial Aid Evening, Freshman Experience Day, Registration Event, Spirit Day, Summer Camps, junior high programming, Cougar Cub Book Club, etc.
Oversee the application review process in collaboration with the enrollment committee to facilitate new student enrollment.
Conduct research and implement strategies to ensure MND achieves the strategic goals identified in the five-year strategic plan.
Assist with onboarding of the incoming freshman class.
Develop innovative strategies to strengthen student conversion rates from prospect to registration.
Ensure admissions practices are in compliance with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (RWB) and OHSAA.
Utilize technology (software, communication tools, etc.) to enhance recruitment efforts, identify and target prospects, improve communication and impact conversion rates.
Retention
Partner with administrators, faculty, staff, Board members, and other School constituencies to develop and articulate MND’s admission priorities.
Assure continuity between the admission processes and enrollment, orientation, onboarding, scheduling, and student life opportunities.
Marketing
Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment and marketing plans.
Nurture strategic partnerships with area Catholic and other private primary schools.
Work with the marketing/communications team to maintain a robust marketing presence of MND throughout the Cincinnati area using a variety of promotional materials that promote our vision, mission, and ethos.
Management Responsibilities
Prepare regular reports and presentations to the Marketing/Enrollment Committee, Board of Trustees and Faculty/Staff.
Commit to professional development to remain current on best practices and emerging strategies in the field of enrollment management.
Participate as an active member of the senior administrative leadership team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the Enrollment Management Office, including budget, database (Blackbaud Enrollment Management System), files, correspondence, and mailings.
Oversee enrollment management parent volunteers and student ambassador programs.
Evaluate the enrollment management staff and programs on an annual basis.
Other
Attend events held in early mornings, evenings, and some weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 5 years of admissions or related experience; preferably in private schools or university level.
Genuine commitment to Catholic education and the desire to support MND’s mission while demonstrating a strong commitment to all-girls, secondary, Catholic education; Catholic candidate preferred.
As one of the school’s most visible spokespersons, comfort and confidence speaking and presenting in front of senior leaders, parents, volunteers, Board members, and all members of the MND community.
Strong leadership and administration skills with solid experience managing, mentoring, and motivating staff, along with the ability to inspire colleagues toward accomplishing common objectives.
Must be an enthusiastic people person who can build relationships with prospective students, parents, employees and current students and parents.
Strong understanding of data and trend analysis, and how to use it to inform practice and decision-making.
A collaborative working style with the ability to manage and prioritize requests in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, along with outstanding writing, presentation, and persuasion skills.
Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite applications, and databases, preferably Blackbaud Enrollment Management System.
