The Admission Team works on behalf of a mission-driven institution to fulfill the vision of ensuring a vibrant Jewish future. The primary role of the Admission Associate is to support families through the admission and enrollment processes. The Admission Associate works towards this vision as an integral part of the Admission Team and reports directly to the Director Enrollment and Tuition Assistance. The Admission Associate is a role model of professional practices, values, and mission of the School.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all elements of the application including applications, screening materials, and information on each prospective student.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on each prospective student throughout the admission process.
- Communicate directly with prospective families to guide them through the admission process. Duties may include elements like giving tours, proctoring screenings, scheduling visit days, and following up on all missing elements from an admission application.
- Work with the Admission Team to determine and enact strategies and tactics to reach prospective families.
- Support and manage the planning and implementation of recruitment and retention events for prospective and current families.
- Administrative duties like scheduling, calendar management for the team, and reimbursement.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ).
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Enrollment and Tuition Assistance and by the Directors of Admission.
Qualifications
- Collaborative, enthusiastic professional who will navigate the work of Admission in close partnership with the Admission Team
- Skillful in setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of various responsibilities
- Able to establish and maintain positive, professional, and cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, parents and the School community
- Exercises discretion, confidentiality and initiative
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, and database management
- Effective communicator
- Experienced in event planning preferred, but not required
- Understanding of the Greater DC Jewish community and knowledge of Jewish day schools preferred, but not required
- This position travels between both the Lower School and Upper School campuses and will need reliable, personal transportation

Work Environment:
- Staff may be asked to perform their work responsibilities on campus and/or at home. In both settings, the employee is required to maintain a professional environment.
- While on campus, classes may be operating either in person or in an alternative setting. Teachers are expected to be present and accessible for the entire school day (contracted hours), regardless of the setting.
