The Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management (DAEM) plays a critical role in strategizing, implementing, and optimizing the financial and institutional health of the Bosque School community, both in the near and longer term. The DAEM is responsible for the generation and maintenance of the school’s most significant revenue source and for populating and retaining a community of mission-aligned students and families. They are a skilled enrollment management professional and are responsible for creating synergy between admission processes and operations, recruitment, marketing/communications, retention, finance (pricing, tuition assistance, budget modeling), data/research/metrics, and student/family experience. They work in deep, ongoing, and strategic collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications (DMC), who acts as their critical thought partner in the development and leadership of a shared purpose; the creation, revision, and implementation of a strategic enrollment (and related marketing) plan; developing and delivering responsive and digestible data metrics; and the nurturing of a highly functional, interconnected, and cohesive enrollment and marketing/communications team. In addition, these two roles act as the school’s chief articulators and storytellers. The DAEM is contagiously enthusiastic about the school, trustworthy, motivating, and an effective facilitative leader, strategizing and implementing methods to develop and inspire deep community connection, understanding, and engagement with the school’s enrollment management strategy. Given the depth and breadth of this role, it is expected that ongoing professional development will be needed to continually develop comprehensive mastery of skills, thus, a highly motivated growth and “quick study” mindset, humility, and initiative will be critical. The DAEM reports to the head of school and serves as a member of the leadership team.
Duties and responsibilities
ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP:
In collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications (DMC), manage, evaluate, and update the strategic enrollment plan (and complementary marketing plan) tied to institutional priorities and the recommendations of the AISAP 360 assessment. Develop, manage, and communicate metrics for ongoing analysis and reporting, key performance indicators, and actionable strategies to reach these goals.
Identify and implement year-round strategies and initiatives to generate and increase leads from existing and new markets in an effort to support and increase Bosque School’s population and revenue goals, and in alignment with the school’s Equity, Community, and Culture Principles and Best Practices. Nurture those leads to completing applications and securing enrollment, all the while providing exceptional and customized customer service at all key stages of the process. Proactively recruit, build, and maintain productive and positive relationships with prospective students' families, feeder school leaders, educational consultants, corporate partners, and other referral sources in target markets.
Plan, implement, and execute innovative, dynamic, and engaging recruitment events and meetings, school tours, buddy/visit days, faculty meet-and-greets, open houses, and other admission events that showcase Bosque’s strengths and leave lasting impressions with prospective families. Survey families on their experiences and debrief with relevant constituents. Track and analyze pre-determined metrics of success (attendance goals, yield projections) and make adjustments nimbly if metrics are not being met.
Design, direct, implement, and communicate effective year-round retention strategies to encourage re-enrollment, including collaboration with the academic leadership team and middle and upper school retention committees, with proactive and innovative attention to the transition between middle and upper school.
Design, direct, and implement a strategic financial aid process, philosophy, and procedures in line with the school’s mission, values, strategic plan, and revenue and population goals. Collaborate with the DMC, Head of School, CFOO, Chief of Institutional Advancement (CIA), and Board Finance Committee to set and analyze metrics monthly.
DATA ANALYSIS/STRATEGY:
In collaboration with the DMC, recognize that data determines strategy and develop a plan for year-round (qualitative and quantitative) data measurement, analysis, and reporting- measuring progress based on the overarching goals, KPIs, enrollment targets, and financial aid strategy outlined in the Strategic Enrollment Plan. Provide to the Head of School and CFOO weekly reports that include current admission activity (inquiries, visits, applications by grade level, financial aid, yield predictions, & results) with comparative numbers to date from previous years. Provide monthly reporting to the Head of School and CFOO on marketing & communications (ads, website, and social media statistics) metrics and effectiveness in relation to enrollment goals. Establish and maintain historic data sets for year-over-year comparison.
Maintain high-level knowledge and expertise (through training and ongoing professional development) of all related technology platforms and how they can be used to support data analysis and communications (School Admin, Clarity, Blackbaud, Final Site, etc.)
COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING STRATEGIC SUPPORT:
Provide strategic and operational support of the DMC in developing, analyzing, and adjusting the communications and marketing plan in support of the strategic enrollment plan.
PERSONNEL/COLLABORATIONS:
Develop a highly collaborative strategic partnership with the DMC; meet regularly, and provide consistent, clear, and shared direction for members of the enrollment and marketing|communications teams.
Hire, manage, mentor, evaluate, coach, and lead the enrollment team, ensuring roles and responsibilities that support the goals of the strategic enrollment plan. Work closely alongside and effectively collaborate with the mar|com team members.
Work alongside the DMC to develop and support highly functional cross-collaboration between the enrollment and marketing|communications teams. Co-facilitate standing team meetings, cross-training, and collaborative work to build alignment, shared commitments, evaluation, and support of the goals set forth in the strategic enrollment plan.
Strategize, implement, and analyze effective methods to develop and inspire deep community connection, education/understanding, and engagement/action with enrollment management strategy. Develop trusting and effective relationships with all relevant constituents (staffulty, board, parents and guardians, students, alumni, feeder schools, and community/corporate partners) in support of the strategic enrollment plan. Effectively recruit, train, and communicate to relevant stakeholders regarding their role in enrollment strategies and goals.
Collaborate consistently and effectively with the CFOO, CIA, Head of School, and board finance committee regarding financial aid and revenue projections and adjustments; with the academic leadership team regarding the most effective ways to stay informed on school life and to showcase the school; with the leadership team to review the strategic enrollment (and related marketing) plan, garner collaboration and support, and to support broader schoolwide goals and needs;
Consistently embed deeply into the lived experience of the school to stay informed of schoolwide curricular and extracurricular programs (to translate into tangible talking points with prospective families and internal/external communications). Attend (and uphold expectations that all team members attend) daily morning meetings, visit classes and extracurriculars consistently, and build meaningful relationships with staffulty and students.
Work in collaboration with the CIA to build connections between the school’s various advancement initiatives and enrollment management goals.
Work in collaboration with the Director of Bosque Summer to enhance the outreach aspect of the program to further support the strategic enrollment plan.
LEADERSHIP:
Model a growth mindset towards continual professional development in support of strategic enrollment plan goals. Proactively seek, share, and apply knowledge, professional development, professional networks, and resources regarding recent trends in enrollment management, marketing|communications, technology tools (databases, CRMs, financial aid systems, etc.).
Set, track, and maintain the enrollment budget. Work in partnership with the DMC to strategize the marketing & communications budget in support of strategic enrollment plan goals.
Serve on the School’s Leadership team, commit to upholding leadership team norms, and work to advance the school’s mission. Actively and productively support and steward school-wide change in support of the school’s mission and values. Play an important leadership role in contributing to a productive and positive work environment.
As a member of the school’s leadership team, commit to personal growth, development, and productive contribution towards advancing the school’s Equity, Community, and Culture Principles & Best Practices. Explore and investigate policies, systems, and structures that may be working against progress in this area. Participate in the staffulty ECC committee(s), when relevant topics are discussed. Participate in the Equity, Community, and Culture committee when relevant topics are discussed.

Be a visible presence in school life and regularly attend and support school functions.
Provide admissions/enrollment, and marketing/communications reports to the Board of Trustees (grounded in predetermined metrics/results/strategy) and to the Bosque Parents & Guardians Association, as needed.
Engagement in various external events (galas, economic forum, etc.) to represent Bosque School and network with prospective families/community partners.
MISCELLANEOUS
Attendance at staffulty meetings and professional development opportunities, as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Commit to absolute confidentiality of sensitive information, as outlined in the Non-Disclosure Agreement that will be signed annually, in conjunction with the employee contract

Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum three years of leadership experience in admissions and enrollment management (independent school experience, preferred).
Capacity to inspire commitment to long-term vision while also juggling the day-to-day logistics and challenges of leading the department. Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail alongside strategic visioning, planning, and execution.
Ability to make and effectively communicate difficult decisions related to creating a mission-aligned student body.
Proven skills in flexibility, nimbleness, and the ability to forecast and make needed adjustments effectively and efficiently.
Outstanding technology skills and mindset to maximize efficiencies, effectiveness, and data analysis and presentation through related platforms and resources.
