Augusta Preparatory Day School seeks a passionate and energetic Director of Admissions and Financial Aid to continue four years of enrollment growth. This leader will supervise the “front door” of the school and determine how we present our people, places, and programs to potential new families on campus and online. The Director will report directly to the Head of School beginning on July 1, 2025, as a full-time, exempt employee and serve on the Senior Leadership Team. 

Essential Functions: 

• Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment 
• Supervise and manage the Admissions Assistant 
• Coordinate and lead special events for prospective students 
• Enlist student and/or parent volunteers and train them to assist in the admissions process
• Manage inputs in the admissions software and Blackbaud database as well as queries 
• Manage the SEVIS process and follow proper government protocols for admissions of international students
• Schedule candidate tours, tracking them through the admissions process 
• Lead campus tours 
• Conduct admissions interviews and testing for applicants two years old through 12th grade
• Coordinate re-enrollment activity with constant monitoring and analysis of attrition and retention 
• Works with the Director of Communications and our local marketing company to develop print, digital, and physical marketing materials
• Works with the CFO to award and administer the financial aid program, the GOAL program, and endowed scholarships 
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding family financial information 
• Report yearly statistics to NAIS, SAIS, GISA or other organizations as requested 
• Build strong relationships with area feeder schools 
• Uphold and enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy 
• Connect with professional learning communities and engage in frequent professional development
• Other duties as assigned by the Head of School 

Qualifications: 

• Exhibit a genuine, welcoming demeanor to parents, students, alumni, faculty and other visitors
• Possess a strong understanding of the needs of families when choosing a school 
• A proven ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues, students, and families 
• Have strong written and oral communication skills 
• Hold a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in a related field
• Experience in a sales function in any industry is a plus

Knox Music Suite opened in November, 2007 and features four individual practice rooms and two large music classrooms. Athletic facilities include two gymnasiums, a weight room, an athletic training room, multiple locker rooms, fields for football and soccer, an eight-lane synthetic surface track and a baseball diamond.
