The Blue Ridge School has engaged DovetailED Talent Sourcing in its search for a Director of Enrollment Communications and Marketing (DECM). The DECM is a full time, professional employee responsible for the many parts of two core duties:
Design and successfully implement communications tactics which promote BRS’s enrollment efforts. Success will be measured by two elements within the traditional admission funnel – 1) mission-appropriate growth at the top/outer level and 2) how yield expands within the several layers of the funnel – with a particular eye to net revenue / discount rate/ability to afford BRS.
Work alongside External Affairs colleagues and the Head of School to set and maintain the School’s overall marketing portfolio and strategy – key messages, design and look, web and social media, as well as advertising and promotional activities.
The DECM works most closely with the Senior Director of Enrollment Management and Associate Head of School for External Affairs within a five member Admission Team. This position communicates BRS’s unique characteristics through written word, video, and photography. Secondarily, to stay on the front line of enrollment trends, the DECM plays a role in some traditional admission activities, helping to welcome and evaluate candidates and their families at events and at peak times.
Together, the DECM, Senior Director of Enrollment Management, Director of Admission and Associate Director of Admission share the primary responsibility of reaching the school’s net tuition revenue (NTR) budget target. Reaching that target requires a combination of compelling marketing and communications from the DECM with excellent sales/customer service stewardship from the Senior Director, Director, and Associate Director of Admission.
The DECM is the evolution of a position created in 2020 and collaborates/coordinates with a wide range of colleagues. The ability to travel and thoughtfully represent Blue Ridge School in a variety of settings is equally important.
Interested candidates should email a cover letter (addressed to Associate Head of School for External Affairs Franklin Daniels), a resume, a link to their online portfolio of marketing and communication work, and a list of at least three professional references consolidated as a single PDF document to Zack Lehman at zack@dovetailedsourcing.com.
