COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY
Anticipated salary range: $70,000 – $80,000
• The Webb Schools offer competitive compensation. In setting position ranges, Webb reviews numerous factors including industry data from NAIS, CAIS, NBOA, and other market data.

The Webb Schools, a boarding/day high school of 400 students located in Claremont CA, seeks an innovative, experienced Associate Director of Admission to join the Admission Office. The Associate Director of Admission will play a significant role in the recruitment, evaluation, selection, and enrollment of mission-appropriate students. The Associate Director reports directly to the Director of Admission and Financial Aid and will work as part of a supportive and dynamic admission team, to facilitate a culture of collaboration, creativity, professionalism, and data-driven decision-making.
The Associate Director of Admission will develop and manage administrative systems which may include training, events, recruitment, and outreach coordination and/or other areas based on the interests and strengths of the successful candidate. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Represent The Webb Schools compellingly to prospective students and families. • Develop and cultivate relationships with school placement directors, counselors, consultants, and community-based organizations. • Develop a travel plan in an assigned recruitment territory to include school visits, school recruitment fairs, interviews, meetings, and other related recruitment activities. Provide an accurate record of travel and admission-related expenses. • Work in a team-based approach with Admission staff to develop recruitment strategies for specific constituencies and/or regions. This may include analyzing data, researching trends, and learning about best practices from other institutions. • Review applications for admission and make recommendations for admission. Participate in the admission decisions as a member of the Admission Committee. • Research, design, and implement on-campus and virtual admission events, including open houses, admitted student days, virtual information sessions, and counselor events. • Participate in and assist in developing and coordinating yield activities and events. • Conduct admission interviews for prospective students and families. • Counsel prospective students and families through the application process and facilitate questions related to Webb’s admission and financial aid processes and distinctions of the Webb experience. • Develop and manage daily visitor programs and special events. • Other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • As assigned, develop, implement, and manage office-wide initiatives in support of the work of the Webb Admission Office. Office-wide initiatives may include collaboration with multiple office teams and partners across campus. • Regular regional, national, and international travel is required. • Willingness to be flexible to work extended hours during busy times, including early mornings and occasional evenings and weekends. • Keep abreast of admission and indexed tuition trends and developments through attendance at professional development conferences and workshops. • Continually seek new opportunities to improve upon existing admission and financial aid practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) from an accredited college or university, and three to five years of experience in admissions, recruitment, and/or enrollment management. Excellent project management skills and direct experience in a forward-facing role (such as leading/directing tours, interviews, events, and presentations) are preferred. The ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility and take independent initiative in an energetic office environment with efficiency and effectiveness are essential to success in this position. In addition, exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS A valid California Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record is required. A criminal background check must be successfully completed before employment can begin.
OTHER SKILLS • Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate Webb’s programs and offerings to prospective students and families. • Skilled at interacting and communicating with varying audiences in small and large settings. • Detail-oriented and able to balance an individual schedule with a high-volume and time-driven admission process. • Ability to analyze data to draw conclusions based on detailed analysis of admissions and recruitment trends and make appropriate responding recommendations and adjustments to our recruitment program. • Professional experience and strong knowledge of CRM systems, people management, analytics, and modeling.
