About the Position
Grace Church School is seeking a Communications Associate to join our team on July 1, 2023. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Communications Associate will play a vital role in supporting the school's internal and external communications initiatives. The position is term-limited through June 30, 2024, but the contract could be extended for someone who demonstrates the ability to meet the ongoing needs of the department.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Experience with website content management systems, social media platforms, and email marketing software
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign and Photoshop
Video and photography editing skills
Familiarity with Google Suite
Superb attention to detail
A demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work well with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve a common goal
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines
A genuine desire to create the best possible product and a willingness to ask questions and learn from mistakes in order to do so
Responsibilities will include:
Managing changes to the communications calendar
Creating and managing the photography calendar
Serving as the primary day-to-day photographer for school events
Managing changes to the social media calendar
Creating social media content and posting to the appropriate platform
Assisting with videography, including filming and editing
Assisting with news and media posts to our internal portal, GraceNet, as well as to the public-facing website
Assisting with the production of the Grace Magazine
Helping to draft, edit, and send emails via PushPage
Designing and posting slides for internal monitors and digital platforms

Compensation
This is a full-time position with an expected annual salary of $55,000 - 70,000
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
Minimum of three years of experience in communications or marketing, preferably in an educational or mission-driven organization
