The Office of Admission and Enrollment Management is seeking an Admission Associate - Outreach and Communications Coordinator to join the Admissions Team as they pursue their admission and enrollment objectives. The Admission Associate - Outreach and Communicators Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing outreach efforts, the creation and implementation of high-touch communications, and liaising with the Office of Marketing and Communications. The Admissions Associate - Outreach and Communications Coordinator will also serve as an integral member of the Admissions Committee, conducting interviews, reading files, and helping to build Newark Academy’s next class. Ideal candidates will be creative, inclusive, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and excited to join the highly collaborative and innovative Admissions team.
Reports to: Director of Admission and Financial Aid
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Office of Admission
Establish and maintain the Office calendar
Manage the Office of Admission email account with support from the Administrative Assistant
Identify and coordinate the management of external relationships and partnerships
Serve as the Communications Liaison, responsible for overseeing the development and execution of office communications
Serve as a member of the Admission Committee, including the conducting of interviews and the reading of files
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
1-3 years of experience in an Admissions office at an independent school preferred
Strong organizational skills and comfort in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to forge relationships with a broad range of constituents
Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team
Commitment to being a part of a diverse school community where all members are welcomed, respected, valued, and celebrated
Working knowledge of tools and technology including Google Suite
This position requires evenings and weekend work
The position is full-time, 11 months per year, and eligible for benefits.
