The Opportunity: This position exists to support and implement the mission, vision, and core values of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School. The Admissions Director is responsible for and oversees the development of plans and strategies for the attainment of NDCL’s recruitment, admissions, and retention goals. This person is the primary representative of NDCL to potential students and their families. Under the leadership of the Director of Finance, the Admissions Director serves as a member of the Financial Aid Committee.

Major Responsibilities: Area #1
Demonstrates an understanding of and enthusiasm for the mission of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School in the context of the Catholic Church's educational mission.
Grasps the scope and significance of the school's academic and extra-curricular programs, especially in relation to the needs and interests of prospective students and their families.
In collaboration with the president, principal, and director of marketing, annually identifies the admissions goals for the school.
Develops the annual admissions and recruitment plan to achieve the annual admission goals.
Creates, develops, and implements on-going strategies for proactive enrollment management.
Fosters excellent relationships with feeder schools.
Fosters excellent relationships with the faculty, staff, and students.
Directs, develops, and plans all recruitment activities that attract students to NDCL. These include, but are not limited to, Freshman Family Welcome Picnic, Shadowing Experience, Open Houses/Parent Information Nights, Placement & Scholarship Testing, Recognition Night for Academic Scholars, Freshman Registration Day, Diocesan High School Nights, Visits to Catholic elementary schools, hosting of middle school & junior high events on campus.
Evaluates each initiative after it takes place and makes necessary adjustments to assure that admissions goals are being achieved.
Area #2
Works in implementing a plan with specific tactical steps to recruit eighth graders in identified parishes/elementary schools.
Works in organizing and directing parent advocate teams in identified parish/elementary schools.
Selects, trains and coordinates student and parent ambassadors. Schedules and communicates with them for all admissions and other events that call for their presence.
In collaboration with the Counseling Department, addresses and annually increases the retention rate.
Chairs the Admissions Committee with assistance from school administrators and in this capacity reviews all records and communicates admissions decisions to all applicants.
Area #3
Tracks prospective families (students) in a database from inquiry through enrollment.
Tracks and retains all demographic data critical to admissions planning.
Maintains electronic records of past, current, and future enrollment statistics for internal forecasting and reporting.
Collaborates with the Advancement Office to develop admissions materials.
Research and studies the best practices in enrollment management.
Alternate Revenue Streams:
Responsible for handling all documentation and contacts relating to the EdChoice scholarship program.
Strengthens alternate sources of revenue by serving as the contact person with agencies that offer NDCL the opportunity to bring international students to our school community.
Other Responsibilities:
Assists with the maintenance/updates for the Admissions section of the NDCL website.
Represents NDCL as a member of the Association of Catholic Admissions Directors in the Diocese of Cleveland.
Provides reports, data and presents, when requested, relevant enrollment management information to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
A commitment to Catholic education and the mission and vision of Notre Dame Schools
A bachelor’s degree; master’s preferred with preference to candidates with education degree and certifications
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development.
Excellent interpersonal skills, courtesy, and tact to work with a variety of stakeholders.
Demonstrated superior oral and written communication skills.
Ability to participate in public speaking events.
Computer literacy with experience with Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software.
Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for working with people.
Self-motivated, works well under pressure, and demonstrates ability to handle several projects at one time.
