Stone Ridge is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to begin work July 1, 2023.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for:
Creating and managing an integrated online presence of website and social media communications in support of school-wide initiatives and programs.
Creating and editing digital content and maintaining a regular publishing schedule ensuring quality, accuracy, and a consistent voice
Monitoring, reviewing and evaluating metrics and suggesting content optimization to increase engagement across all platforms.
Using content management systems such as Finalsite to update and maintain all aspects of the school’s website and, in that capacity, will serve as the primary content manager responsible for the following functions: Adding/updating pages, incorporating graphics and video, managing event microsites, and monitoring SEO.
Managing yearly internal data integration to support website user needs by ensuring current and new parent, student, faculty and staff mailing lists and directories are up-to-date, and managing permissions and access to portals.
Compiling and editing content for weekly e-newsletter as a reliable source of information for daily and upcoming school activities and events.
Coordinating frequent email outreach to parents, students, faculty, staff, alumnae and stakeholders.
Collaborating with colleagues, especially with members of various departments - Admissions, Advancement, Arts and Athletics to cultivate content and help to devise strategies for communicating events and programs.
Capturing video/photo content as needed (basic comfort in using iPhone camera); producing basic graphic design and working with photo and video content (comfortable using Canva).
Provide support as needed with marketing campaigns.
Requirements/qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Marketing, Communications or a related field and a minimum of three years of Marketing or Communications experience.
Strong written, editorial, and oral communication skills and a demonstrated track record for collaboration, organization and efficiency.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Facebook, LinkedIn,Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media and familiarity with best practices and technological trends.
Experience in leveraging multiple digital platforms for enhanced productivity.
Experience in using content management systems, social media management tools and school administration software.
Thorough and precise work habits with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to mission-driven organizations.
A demonstrated ability to authentically capture and amplify a wide range of voices and embody a commitment to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines independently. Ability to work on teams to promote cross-functional collaboration and sharing.
Experience in Catholic and/or independent schools is preferred but not required. This position is a 12-month position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
