Upland Country Day School is seeking a creative, motivated, self-starter to serve as full-time Assistant Director of Communications and Advancement.
Upland Country Day School is a coeducational, non-sectarian day school serving approximately 165 students in Preschool through grade 9. Located in Kennett Square, PA, southwest of Philadelphia, Upland draws students from towns throughout Chester County and northern Delaware. Reporting to the Directors of Communication and Advancement, the Assistant Director of Communications and Advancement is responsible for supporting various elements of the Communications, Admissions and Advancement Offices. Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Communications and Advancement include:
- Supporting the Advancement Office in events, activities and Advancement communications
- Create social media content for marketing and admissions purposes and thoughtfully engage with followers
- Coordinate content and track success for arts and athletics campaigns across several platforms
- Use Google and social media analytics to measure campaign success
- Manage the Upland YouTube channel
- Create “news” for the UCDS Website
- Provide layout & design support for the website
- Produce the Upland Magazine
- Support Admissions efforts, including giving tours, prepping campus events and corresponding with families
- Manage promotional merchandising and advertising
- Hours occasionally include nights, weekends and the occasional holiday.
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of administrative leadership and program development experience in Communications, Admissions and/or Advancement. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with exceptional organizational skills.
This position is not remote and requires the candidate to be an active and present member of the campus community. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach and enthusiasm for creating and guiding startup ventures, and a commitment to maintaining and growing the School’s existing programs. Familiarity with Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge NXT, Google Analytics, and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
