Rocky Hill Country Day School seeks an experienced Director of Enrollment Management to lead the enrollment and outreach efforts of the school.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and evolve a strategic and innovative admissions plan aimed at attracting and retaining mission-appropriate students for our growing student population.
Managing a domestic and international admissions effort, the successful candidate will have experience in both areas of recruitment and serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).
Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Head of School to manage the Financial Aid program.
Work with the Admissions Associate and the Director of Marketing and Director of Communications to promote the School using both inbound and outbound marketing techniques.
Value and embrace the School’s mission and serve as an ambassador of its programs and pedagogy.
Design and implement an engaging admissions experience for prospective students and their families from point of inquiry through matriculation.
Develop and manage a strategic recruitment plan that incorporates inbound and outbound marketing, innovative enrollment methods and a highly personalized client experience.
Manage admissions and financial aid budgets.
Supervise and evaluate Admission Associate.
Oversee the Admission Committee in the discernment of admission decisions.
Manage Admissions events and programs including, but not limited to, Open House, Bring a Friend to School Day, and Accepted Students Day.
Support Division Heads in execution of retention efforts at the key grade levels.
Collaborate and communicate with the senior leadership team and faculty to be able to best represent the mission and educational objectives of the school.
Report on key enrollment management metrics to the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and faculty as needed.
Keep up to date with enrollment management trends by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Conduct campus tours for prospective students, families, consultants, agents, and other various constituents.
Cultivate positive and professional relationships with feeder school leaders, placement directors, educational consultants, outside institutions or groups such as Project GOAL, Star Kids, Naval War College, professional organizations, and other referral sources in local target markets.
Issue and manage re-enrollment of current students and coordinate all re-enrollment activity with constant monitoring of attrition.
Communicate, organize, manage, and administer financial aid, merit aid, remission, and named scholarships.
Establish and pursue new international student markets in an effort to diversify the School’s international student population including traveling overseas to recruit students, meeting with agencies, and skyping with prospective students and families.
Work with the Coordinator of International Programs to manage the international student experience.
Advise Admission Associate in management of a network of parents, former parents, and alumni, as well as the student ambassador program, to assist in the admissions program.
Perform other duties as assigned by, and in support of, the Head of School.
Report to the Head of School.
The candidate will possess the following:
Experience as a Director of Enrollment Management or Admissions in an independent school environment.
Skill in public relations, communications, strategic marketing, board relations, and/or school management
Knowledge of best practices in the financial aid process.
Experience in international student recruitment and management.
Collaborative leadership style and desire to partner with administrators, teachers, students, and staff to advance the School.
Strong management skills including attention to detail, facility with data, and creative problem solving.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to maintain confidentiality.
An innovative, growth mindset.
Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and commitment to ongoing growth in this area.
Knowledge of and appreciation for 21st century educational trends
Fluency in the use of Veracross or other database systems and MS Office applications.
Education & Experience:
a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s degree preferred.
