The Director of Enrollment Management is an integral part of the school’s administrative team and is responsible for managing all facets of the enrollment and admissions process in the school’s effort to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse and dynamic student population who will benefit from the school’s unique culture and programmatic offerings, and enrich the school community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Enrollment Management will:
Work collaboratively with the Administration of the school to craft a vision for and manage the admissions, enrollment and retention process
Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan to reach targeted audiences, including identifying and implementing best-practices across multiple platforms, with emphasis on digital marketing and web-based technologies
Working with Administration, Advancement, and Communications on the marketing, branding and promotion of Saint Joseph Prep
Research and analyze demographic trends and enrollment data both at Saint Joseph Prep and in the general market, with an awareness of best practices in enrollment management
Represent Saint Joseph Prep by serving as a primary contact person for prospective students and their families during the recruitment and enrollment process. This will include planning and coordinating major mailings and admissions events - Admissions Fairs; Classroom Visits; Open House; Visit Days; High School Placement Testing; Admitted Student Reception; New Parent Coffee and Math Placement Test; Scholar’s Dinner
Oversee the Assistant Director’s role as point-person in the recruitment of international students
Lead the Admissions Committee (Head of School, Assistant Admission Director, and when appropriate the Assistant Heads of School, the Director of Academic Support, Director of College and School Counseling, and Business Manager)
Supervise the Enrollment Management Team
Advise the Head of School and Financial Aid Committee with regard to awarding of financial aid
Work closely with the Business Manager on financial aid, merit aid, and enrollment management budgets
Identify and collaborate with potential partners to assist in the recruitment and enrollment process – parents, students, staff, academic departments, middle school leaders, parishes, graduates
Set and execute the calendar for marketing, advertising, and promoting Saint Joseph Prep to prospective students and families, in conjunction with Enrollment Management staff, Communications, and other school personnel
Report directly to the Head of School and serve as a liaison to the Board of Trustees regarding admissions and enrollment.
The ideal candidate for this position possesses a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Enrollment Management at either the high school or college level. The candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and presentation skills; is innovative and creative; a self-starter who will take initiative; is attentive to detail; a team player; be able to employ social media and digital marketing effectively; experienced with event planning; and is able to engage prospective students and their families in a highly professional and personable manner. Occasional evening and weekend work (events and fairs) is required.
