Responsible for recruitment, evaluation, and enrollment of students for the upper school. Responsibilities include: Plan and coordinate recruitment of both boarding and day students for grades 9 through 12 including off campus recruitment activities (planning and hosting receptions, visiting schools and educational consultants, etc. in the United States and abroad). Plan and run campus recruitment activities (open houses, visit days, testing, etc.). Coordinate upper school admission committees. Serve as primary liaison between the admission office and the upper school faculty; attend school faculty and administration meetings. Conduct interviews with students and parents. Work with the Director of Admission and the Financial Aid Office to distribute need and merit grants that help to enable students to enroll and that fulfill the school’s strategic needs. Assist in production of marketing materials.
Bachelors degree required. Seven years of related experience required. Five years in an admission/recruitment or marketing setting strongly preferred. Preference given to candidates with independent school or college financial aid experience. Preference given to candidates with strong technological skills. Willingness to work some evenings and weekends. Sense of humor and willingness to be a part of a team. Requires a valid Michigan driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
