The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for the overall school enrollments of new and returning students. The director leads a staff of eight in building relationships and providing an excellent customer service experience throughout the enrollment process. This individual leads their team in achieving optimal student enrollments, including marketing to prospective students and their families, recruitment activities, application processing, the selection of students for financial aid and merit-based scholarships. This individual oversees an exceptional enrollment experience to include the dispersal of enrollment agreements and the receipt of deposits, registration and maintaining and building upon parent and student relationships to ensure retention of new and returning students.
Plans future enrollment goals and strategies in consultation with the Head of Schools as well as interfacing and engaging with the Board of Trustees Admissions Committee as it relates to the quantity of students, quality of students, student body composition, and net tuition revenue.
Demonstrates and sets high-level customer service expectations throughout the enrollment process. Oversees recruitment activities, events, and projects designed to attract new students and retain returning students. Promotes good relationships and creates networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
Manages student retention through delivery and communication of the school's value, providing ongoing connectedness throughout the student experience, ensuring mission-appropriate matches, and ensuring an intentional approach to enrolling and retaining mission-appropriate students.
Contributes significantly to the school's strategic budget plans by using integrated enrollment projection and net-tuition revenue models in achieving optimal enrollments. Responsible for the admissions scholarship and financial aid budgets.
Evaluates marketing materials, ads, mailings, web pages, and publications that interpret the school to prospective students. Increase inquiries, visitors, and applications to attract and enroll mission-appropriate students.
Maintains current knowledge of best practices in enrollment management trends in admissions and recruitment, scholarship, and financial aid practices. Reviews and revises strategies, programs, policies, and procedures as needed to improve operations and help the school maintain a capacity enrollment of qualified students and a waitlist of qualified new applicants.
Keeps statistical information on all aspects of the admission and re-enrollment programs and monitors overall attrition as well as retention.

System/Technology Management – experience understanding and enhancing admissions processes through technology. The breadth of experience includes Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) implementation, streamlining processes through automation, data management efficiencies, and social media campaigns. Enrollment management system experience and proficiency required.
Education - bachelor's degree in a related field required; master's degree is preferred.
Enrollment management and people leadership experience - a minimum of ten years of successful experience in an environment involving enrollment management in a private school, college, or university is required. A minimum of three to five years of experience building a talented enrollment management team.
