Since our founding two decades ago, Stratford Schools has grown from a single school in Danville, California, to a dynamic network of 25 campuses across the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Orange County. We serve students from preschool through eighth grade, and in September of 2022, we will launch our much anticipated high school--Stratford Preparatory, in San Jose, California. The school will open with 450 students enrolled in grades 6-8 and 120 students in grade 9 growing, over four years, to a combined middle and high school capacity of 950 students. What We’re Looking For
As a member of the founding team and Director of Admissions, Stratford Preparatory, you are responsible for putting into play your networking prowess and ability to open doors to connect the school with local associations, companies, neighboring Stratford middle schools and other feeder schools, and prospective families that are a strong fit for our academic program. You will lead the effort to nurture and follow up with prospective families throughout the application process.
As a member of the founding team, you will design a complete admissions process following best practices in private schools. You are comfortable wearing many hats and embrace the opportunity to promote a new school and to grow and expand your skills in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization. You will drive results through a tireless work ethic, doing what is needed, when it is needed, to enroll mission-appropriate students in our program. Your Primary Responsibilities
Develop an admissions process and system that supports an efficient experience for prospective students and parents.
Plan, build, execute, and measure a strategic and tactical retention strategy of currently enrolled middle school students that meets or exceeds targets.
Plan, build, execute, and measure a strategic and tactical, comprehensive recruitment process that meets or exceeds enrollment targets with qualified applicants.
Manage the entire recruitment funnel from nurturing leads to completing applications and enrollment deliverables while providing exceptional customer service at all key stages of the funnel.
Plan, implement and lead engaging informational events and meetings, school tours, faculty meet-and-greets, open houses, and other on-campus admission events.
Recruit, build, and maintain close and productive relationships with prospective students' families, feeder school leaders, educational consultants, and other referral sources in target markets.
Coordinate and help lead admissions events including family meetings and entrance exams.
Plan and lead participation in community-appropriate events, corporate information sessions, admission fairs, and other off-site local and national recruitment events.
Prepare, maintain, and analyze statistics related to recruitment, enrollment, providing summaries and interpretation to facilitate collaboration with other senior managers in enrollment management.
Develop targeted marketing communications plans in partnership with the central Marcom team.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial/start-up environment and adapt to changing priorities and needs
Strong understanding of admissions funnel and how to optimally engage at each stage database maintenance
Superior communication skills, including outstanding writing, presentation, and public speaking skills
Ability to work independently with diverse constituents while maintaining high professional standards
Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to establish and manage multiple priorities, creatively problem-solve, and able to work under pressure
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills

Bachelor's degree required
Five plus years of experience in school admissions or administration, marketing-related or sales field.
A resume demonstrating career growth and a proven track record of success
Knowledge of the secondary education market in the Silicon Valley
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Knowledgeable in admissions based software systems and technically proficient
