Be a major contributor in developing and executing a strategic vision for recruitment and enrollment of qualified students from diverse experiences and backgrounds.
Effectively communicate, by word and deed, the mission of Cheshire Academy to prospective students and their families.
Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective parents and students throughout the application process while guiding them from inquiry to interview, interview to application and ultimately, admission decision.
Collaborate with the Admission Office team to effectively coordinate all admission recruitment events (shadow days, school fairs, open houses, receptions, revisit days, etc.).
Pursue professional development in the fields of admission and marketing through webinars, podcasts, and attendance at conferences (as offered) to ensure that Cheshire Academy implements best practices.
Other responsibilities as needed and requested by the Director of Admission and Head of School. This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours as well as travel nationally and internationally post Covid-19.
Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach responsibilities:
Direct coaching responsibilities inclusive of: program organization, practice planning, game preparation/management, and overall student-athlete development following the mission statement and core values of Cheshire Academy.
Support CA commitment to student-athletes through prioritization of student academic success, character development, social emotional learning, and community involvement.
Yearly recruitment and retention of highly skilled mission-appropriate student-athletes.
In collaboration with the College Counseling Office, provide guidance to student athletes engaged in the NCAA recruitment process.
Administrative tasks including, but not limited to: continuous communication with the athletic department, prepare and update team rosters, oversee individual and team stats, provide game wrap ups to media outlets and CA website, utilize game filming with Hudl, attend league and conference meetings for NEPSAC league.
Provide end of season collection of information, uniforms, award winners, and season review.
Create a competitive, fun, and positive environment for all student athletes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required
2-5 years of Admission or closely related field
Proven soccer coaching experience at the college/high school and/or premier level. Previous recruiting experience required.
Experience with or extensive knowledge of independent day and boarding schools preferred.
Experience with all Microsoft suite applications,
Skills and Abilities
Must be detail oriented and possess an ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a close-knit team.
Must demonstrate energy and determination necessary to provide valuable and timely services to prospective and newly enrolling students/families.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of parents, students, faculty, and staff as an Admission Associate and Coach.
Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
Must be a demonstrated leader.
Passion for and experience with recruiting and supporting a culture of inclusion and diversity.
