The Director of Admission & Enrollment Management oversees student recruitment and retention for the school. This position is responsible for developing and implementing data-informed admission strategies and policies with a focus on attracting and retaining a diverse student body composed of mission-appropriate students to meet the school’s enrollment needs. The Director of Admission & Enrollment Management works closely with the Head of School, Division Heads and the Director of Communications to market the school to prospective families. S/he will also work closely with the Head of School and the Business Manager to develop tuition assistance strategies and projected budgets. The Director of Admission & Enrollment Management will be committed to and enthusiastically communicate the mission of Sacred Heart education and the value of an all-boys education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Admission & Enrollment Management Leadership
Lead all facets of enrollment management including prospecting, admission, re-enrollment and retention efforts, working alongside a team and/or committee members to achieve enrollment goals.
Manage admissions funnel from inquiry to enrollment through the cultivation of relationships with prospects, applicants and current families.
Report comparative statistics, data and future enrollment projections.
Develop and oversee implementation of student recruitment and retention strategies.
Collaborate with the Director of Communications to create and promote admissions-related collateral (print and digital) and events.
Manage a touch point calendar for the season in order to promote a healthy and consistent flow of inquiries, prospects and applicants.
Conduct applicant and/or family interviews and organize all on-site applicant screenings and testing.
Preside over admission committee credential review meetings, including the evaluation, analysis and rating of each applicant.
Conduct presentations and lead campus tours for current and prospective families.
Execute admission-related events, including open houses, campus tours, applicant group visits, student shadow days, new parent socials and new student activities.
Organize and oversee the student ambassador program, as well as the parent ambassador program—this includes invitations and selections, onboarding and events. Manage the Admission & Enrollment Management office, including team supervision, training and procedures for phone calls, emails and in-person communication.
Serve on the highly confidential tuition assistance committee.
Partner with other Houston Area Independent School (HAIS) Directors to strengthen the independent school application and enrollment process.
Attend Regis prayer services, liturgies and community events to support the mission and culture of the school.
Engage others—parents, students, faculty and staff in overall efforts to attract, welcome and retain families to Regis.
School Governance, Strategic Planning & Communication
Partners with the Head of School and administrative team to achieve the school’s strategic plan, implement policies and develop and implement an effective Enrollment Management Plan.
Minimum 3 years experience in admissions, school administration, sales and marketing or business development in a membership-based organization.
Curriculum and classroom management experience is preferred.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
An engaging demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with prospective families from all demographics.
Innovative and strategic thinker, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong time-management, organization and decision-making skills.
Experience with event planning and implementation is a plus.
Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.
Experience with web-based content management systems and databases and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite products, data management systems and social media.
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
Strong belief in the school’s mission, philosophy and goals.
Sense of humor and positive disposition.
