Garrison Forest School seeks a highly motivated professional to join an energetic and enthusiastic admission team. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admission coordinates the admission process for Preschool through Grade 5 and supports the Admission Team in coordinated PS-Grade 12 efforts like event planning, retention, and onboarding. She or he reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Management and will also help oversee the communications and marketing efforts within the Admission Office. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and be a solutions-oriented person with problem-solving abilities. She or he is an effective project manager who can fully execute their own and others’ visions. Not only will they thrive as part of the Admission team, but will also work collaboratively with other people, offices, and departments around campus. She or he will seek teamwork and collaboration but also be organized, driven, and confident enough to move projects forward on their own. If not coming from an admissions or sales background, she or he should be sales-minded and understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships both internally within the school community and externally with prospective students/families and feeder schools. Essential job functions: - Establishes strong relationships with prospective families and students, faculty and staff of GFS.
- Manages the application process for PS-Grade 5, interviewing families, touring families, and supporting their application process.
- Will contribute to and is committed to diversity and multicultural educational practices. Demonstrated ability working in a diverse community is essential.
- Supports other team members in event planning, onboarding, retention, and other team duties.
- Represents Garrison Forest and the Admission team at events.
- Maintains and encourages relationships with feeder schools, counselors and consultants.
- Performs all such other related duties consistent with the position as assigned.
