Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Assistant/Associate Director of Admission and Financial Aid Coordinator. The individual in this position will be responsible for:
Interviewing prospective students and parents for our Upper and Middle Schools
Representing the School at various on- and off-campus events
Travelling throughout the United States to promote Dana Hall and recruit prospective families
Collaborating with the Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing to assess financial aid applications and make award recommendations to the Financial Aid Committee
Communicating with financial aid applicants regarding their applications, decisions, and awards
Collaborating with the Database Manager to maintain enrollment numbers, financial aid statistics, and annual statistical report(s)
Collaborating with other departments re: financial aid matters, applicants, and procedures
Successful candidates will be compassionate, strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative, as well as possess: excellent social, written and oral communication skills; an ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines; the flexibility to manage multiple, and often, competing priorities; impeccable organizational skills with a keen attention to detail; a knowledge of financial aid processes, procedures, and application systems; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to genuinely connect with students ages 9-18 and their parents/guardians; experience working with families of various socioeconomic backgrounds; the ability to maintain and respect confidentiality; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Mandarin are a plus. Candidates must be able to remain seated for extended periods of time.
Candidates should have a college degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an admission setting. Working knowledge of Ravenna, SSS, and FileMaker software is optimal; a high level of proficiency with a variety of computing systems, including Microsoft and Apple platforms, MS Office suite, and Google Apps is required, as is the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing.
