North Country School and Camp Treetops is seeking a professional with experience in fundraising, communications and donor stewardship. The Advancement Communications and Stewardship Manager reports to and supports the Director of Advancement and is a vital member of the Advancement team. The successful candidate will join a results-oriented team to support the institution and vision, to ensure effective engagement with the school and camp’s various constituencies, greater community, and to accurately and enthusiastically celebrate the generosity of volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Advancement and Communications offices on annual messaging, appeal letters, video content and execution, and social media related to fundraising.
Identify opportunities to honor current and emerging donors or donor groups, i.e. leadership donors, first-time donors, young alumni.
Refine and expand tools and metrics to measure effectiveness and track engagement including revising the prospect management tracking system with the Director of Advancement and Database Manager.
Plan and collect content for quarterly electronic Executive Director newsletter to all constituents.
Develop strategy, oversee, and help execute class mailings for annual reunion weekend in August, which draws 300 people to campus, with emphasis on fundraising for the 20, 25 and 50th reunion classes.
Cultivate alumni across the country for small gatherings with the Executive Director
Seek and compile newsworthy items from alumni for print and digital publication
Create a legacy giving strategy for long term development opportunities, including semi-annual touchpoints for current members of the Balanced Rocks Circle, the planned giving society for Camp Treetops and North Country School.
Bachelor’s degree, with at least 3-5 years of experience in fundraising preferably at an independent school, higher education or non-profit organization.
Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
Skilled writer and editor.
Proficient with Google Suite and Raiser’s Edge software preferred.
Some evening and weekend work is required.
Must be organized, proactive and flexible.
