Saint Louis Priory School, a Benedictine, Catholic, and college preparatory school for boys in grades 7 through 12, seeks an experienced Director of Communications and Public Relations. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Mission Advancement, the Director of Communications and Public Relations is responsible for managing, coordinating and implementing all internal and external communications of Saint Louis Abbey and Saint Louis Priory School. He/she will serve as a "chief storyteller," conveying the good works of the school and abbey to various constituent groups including current and prospective parents and students, alumni, donors, alumni parents, faculty and staff, and friends of the school. The Director of Communications and Public Relations must be willing to immerse him/herself in the school culture, interacting with students and faculty regularly and embracing the unique academic and familial atmosphere. This position will be fluent in and passionate about developing the school’s brand identity, managing the school’s website and social media channels, writing, editing, proofreading, coordinating photography and video needs, and working with design and print vendors, all with the goal of advancing the strategic objectives of the school. He/she will be expected to develop and execute a comprehensive, annual communications plan that encompasses media relations, alumni and donor communications, publications, website and social media, advertising and other strategies to increase awareness and enhance stakeholder perceptions of the institution. The Director of Communications and Public Relations will supervise the Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing, the Content Marketing Specialist, and outside contractors and consultants in the execution of this position. In addition, he/she will provide support and guidance to other departments, including Admissions, Advancement, Athletics and the Monastic community, to ensure clear, consistent and compelling branding and messaging is achieved.
