The Associate Director for Admission is responsible for participation in all aspects of the recruitment and admission process. In coordination with the Director of Admission & Enrollment Management, the Associate Director for Admission oversees the Admissions Office, leads scheduling and coordination of prospective family and student visits, and partners with Director in planning and execution of all admission events. The Associate Director contributes to optimizing configuration of software systems, the input of data as well as helping to innovate systems for data organization and strategic data usage and reporting. Most importantly, the Associate Director acts as a mission-focused representative of Sacramento Country Day School to both prospective and enrolled families as well as other external and internal constituents.
The Associate Director also helps to support the Director of Enrollment Management in their leadership of all re-enrollment processes and assists with retention efforts as needed which includes but is not limited to: helping to edit or draft communications, supporting parents with re-enrollment, supporting retention-focused events, inputting re-enrollment data and contributing to conversations about re-enrollment and attrition forecasting.
Lead initial inquiry follow-up and all necessary resulting data input. The Associate Director is generally the first point of contact for our office, will determine most appropriate follow-up for all inquiries and either execute on follow-up themselves or facilitate follow up of Director or other parties as needed.
Lead prospective student visit program. This includes designing the visit experience strategically in support of a mission-focused application process and executing program through scheduling, student ambassador and faculty coordination, leading student interviews and collection/organization of teacher feedback, and other necessary data input.
Lead prospective parent visit program. This includes designing the visit experience strategically in support of a mission-focused application process and executing program by coordinating visits, giving tours and leading parent interviews with applicant parents as well as necessary data input.
Facilitate online surveys of new and returning families.
Maintain end of year data reporting and assist director with data retrieval for Board Reports.
Speak publicly as a representative of Country Day at recruitment events both on and off campus.
Promote the school’s academic and co-curricular programs in general to various constituents eloquently, knowledgeably and from a positive, mission-informed perspective.
Advance the mission of Sacramento Country Day School through support of all other aspects of recruitment and retention efforts in coordination with the Director as needed.
