We seek a highly motivated individual to serve as a Director of Financial Aid.
The Director of Financial Aid will report to the Director of Admission and Enrollment and to the Head of School and will support the efforts of the admission offices on both campuses. Along with the Director of Admission and Enrollment, the Director of Financial Aid is responsible for all aspects of the financial aid process, including new and returning students.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents. This individual should be organized and detail-oriented and should be able to demonstrate competency with spreadsheets and database programs. They should be able to multitask and prioritize. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to use time productively, are essential. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a highly productive team and eager to learn new skills and pitch in as needed. This position requires some evening hours.

Other responsibilities include:
Assisting applicant families with understanding the financial aid program and application processes.
Managing the financial aid budget of close to $10 million.
Administering special financial aid funds for students on financial aid, including assisting with college applications, tutoring, class trips, transportation, athletics, etc.
Assisting the administration in conveying the school’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to prospective families and to alumni.
Meeting with the administrative teams and faculty on both campuses and getting to know families and the culture on each campus.
Interviewing prospective families and articulating the School’s mission and programs.
B.A. or B.S. required, M.A. preferred
Three years of financial aid and/or admissions experience
Commitment to data integrity
Computer proficiency, including in-depth knowledge of spreadsheets and experience with databases
