The Enrollment Associate furthers the mission of Lowell School by serving as the school’s representative in all aspects of the admissions process in support of the school’s efforts to attract and enroll a diverse and dynamic preschool-8th grade student population. The Enrollment Associate is the primary point of contact and source of information for prospective parents. The Enrollment Associate manages the admissions and enrollment process from start to finish, including scheduling tours and interviews, processing admissions files, conducting interviews, coordinating events, assessing applicants, and onboarding families.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A college degree and at least 3 years of experience in the enrollment/admissions field. Spanish fluency preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The successful candidate will be an individual who: • Possesses strong previous experience in a school enrollment or admissions office. • Displays excellent interpersonal skills and is energized by interacting with a range of people. • Is knowledgeable about child development and embraces a progressive approach to teaching and learning. • Has proven to be self-motivated, energetic, flexible, and can maintain a positive attitude in a demanding, fast-paced environment. • Has experience in and enjoys database management. • Provides exceptional internal and external customer service. • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, creative thinking and organizational skills.
COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE SKILLS: The successful candidate will be an individual who: • Demonstrates the ability to sensitively respond to common requests. • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to clearly present information to a variety of audiences, and respond to questions from colleagues and prospective parents. • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks. • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to include being cooperative and congenial, and able to manage students and communicate with parents and colleagues in a courteous and effective manner. Is discreet, poised, fair, and objective.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Demonstrated expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software such as Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs, and the ability to effectively use admissions database and software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage in-person, phone, email, and mail communication to prospective families about the application process, financial aid, and testing. Provide tours as needed. • Collaborate with constituents across campus to provide logistical support for co-sponsored activities • Assist with scheduling, organizing tours, interviews, and applicant visits and other admissions or retention events. Meticulously manage Admissions calendar. • Manage Admissions Database (Ravenna) including data entry, procedural integrity, and reporting. • Manage electronic and paper files for all applicants. • Assist with production of general daily needs within the Enrollment Office including event preparation (payments, guests, nametags), solicitation mailing lists, RSVP lists, etc.
