Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) in Louisville, Kentucky, has an opening for a full-time drama and communications teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This position teaches general drama, acting, communications, and elective classes in both our middle school (grades 5-8) and upper school (grades 9-12) and directs the upper school’s drama productions. The ideal candidate has experience in teaching both middle and upper school students and has experience directing dramatic productions and musicals. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a demonstrated passion for teaching, and a willingness to network and maintain collaborative relationships with other theater educators in both secondary and higher education. A degree in theater (acting, directing, playwriting or theater education), or comparable professional experience, with experience in teaching communications is preferred, as is a minimum of three years of teaching experience.
