Assistant Director of Communications for Film & Media (Part-Time)
Greenwich Academy seeks a part-time Assistant Director of Communications for Film & Media to capture and strategically disseminate video and photographic content through the school’s website and social media channels. Greenwich Academy is a vibrant community of scholars, artists, athletes, faculty, alumnae, and parents; the Assistant Director should be comfortable collaborating with all constituents to produce content that is creative, engaging, and mission-aligned. In many cases, the Assistant Director will work in partnership with the Advancement and Admission offices to address their video, photography, and social media needs. The responsibilities of the Assistant Director are limited to the academic year (late August to early June).
Plan, film, edit, and produce videos that highlight and promote campus events or address Advancement and Admission needs.
Photograph, edit, post, and archive images of campus events. Oversee professional photographers hired for stock photography, special events, and athletics.
Build and execute social media strategy (including advertising) that creates meaningful connections and a sense of community.
Capture and analyze social media metrics, research best practices, and implement improvements based on data and research.
Collaborate with Advancement and Admission Offices when planning photography, video, and social media activity.
Establish relationships with broader school community (teachers, administrators, parents association) that enable creation of meaningful content.
Demonstrable video production and photography experience.
Demonstrable social media experience.
Ability to prioritize GA’s brand standards and guidelines, and motto, Toward the Building of Character, when developing content.
Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop). Familiarity with professional-grade camera equipment, social media aggregators, and analytics tools.
Flexibility to take on miscellaneous/seasonal Communications Office projects.
Ability to cover occasional evening and weekend events, and off-campus day trips.
Bachelor’s degree in film studies, communications, marketing, or a related field.
