Bancroft School seeks a Marketing & Communications Manager to complement the efforts of our Communications and Marketing team. The Communications Manager is responsible for a broad range of communication and marketing duties, including managing the school’s website, email marketing, social media, and various print communications. The Communications Manager builds and maintains strong relationships across the School community and participates in a culture of information-sharing among Bancroft’s varied constituents. The ideal candidate will have the vision, skills and experience to digitally capture the many aspects of the Bancroft School experience. We are looking for a candidate who is versatile and who welcomes the challenge and the reward of working in an academic environment.
Major responsibilities of this position include:
Plan, produce and execute coordinated social media campaigns across the school’s social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with copywriting of the monthly newsletter and bi-annual alumni magazine as well as all school wide messaging
Assist the Director of Marketing and Communications on strategy and implementation of data-driven content and asset management
Manage school website including digital asset management, placement, consistency of messaging, and creation and modifications of site pages
Design advertising content and collateral in support of strategic priorities
Serve as photographer & videographer for school events including athletics programs and events and develop a mechanism for distributing photo albums/compilations/videos of student life and academic programing
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
Two to four years of relevant experience preferably working in an academic setting
Thorough understanding of content generation with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Basic knowledge of photography and video filming & editing
Graphic Design experience including Photoshop and Indesign
Ability to maintain and enforce brand standards & guidelines
Excellent communication, writing and language skills
Demonstrated ability to manage time and competing deadlines in an efficient manner
Ability to work intuitively and independently as well as part of a team
