The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for representing Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart to prospective students, parents and other constituents. The Director of Enrollment Management oversees the recruitment and retention of an academically qualified, mission-fit, and diverse student body, consistent with the school’s mission. Responsibilities include oversight and coordination of the admission process for both day and boarding students from point of inquiry through enrollment, developing relationships with feeder schools and implementing a recruitment plan, serving as an ambassador to the wider community through events and travel, creating and overseeing marketing and outreach materials in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications department and Director of Institutional Advancement, developing and overseeing a departmental budget, and working with the Director of Operations and Finance to issue scholarships and financial assistance to current and prospective families.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and implement the recruitment, admission and retention plan for Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.
Oversee the Director of International and Boarding Admission as s/he recruits, enrolls, and re-enrolls international and boarding students.
Analyze data to develop, plan, implement, and administer goals, objectives, and procedures for admission and enrollment management and make appropriate recommendations to Head of School and Board of Trustees.
Plan and execute public information programs and promotional events (open houses, educators’ tours, parent classroom tours, student visit days) designed to represent and promote the vision of the school.
Promote Forest Ridge School at local education fairs, recruitment events, Archdiocese of Seattle regional high school nights, partner school visits, and related events. Promote Forest Ridge to the wider community at neighborhood parent coffees, civic and church groups and other organizations.
Create and oversee marketing and outreach materials in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications department and Director of Institutional Advancement.
Manage the Admission and Enrollment staff.
Develop and manage departmental budget within guidelines.
Oversee all financial assistance program policies and procedures.
Execute a strategic financial aid awarding system for current and prospective families to ensure enrollment objectives are met.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree
At least 5-7 years’ experience in school/college admission or related work in independent schools or
At least 3-5 years’ experience with direct supervision/management of
History with Sacred Heart education
Skills and Attributes:
A high degree of integrity and ethics, with an unwavering commitment to confidentiality.
Understanding of enrollment information systems and web-based recruitment.
Team-player with a strong customer-service orientation.
Fluency in writing, reading and speaking English.
Knowledge of PCR school management software is a plus.
