The Admission Associate and Outreach Coordinator is a member of a dynamic five-person admission team serving the school’s K-12 program across two campuses. Working in partnership with the Director of Admission and Enrollment Management, this position will have a particular focus on engaging programs, families, and schools from underrepresented populations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Interviewing prospective applicants and their families
Reading and evaluating applicant files
Serving as a member in all admission committees
Coordinating events including catering, material gathering, registering and other key logistics for tours, open houses, visit days, etc.
Recruiting, welcoming and assisting in strategy to retain families from diverse backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships
Highly organized with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated cultural competency
An orientation toward equity and inclusion
An understanding of the communities in the greater Los Angeles area
Appreciates flexibility and humor
Ideal candidate would be bilingual in Spanish and English
Have previous experience working in admission or with partner organizations
Bachelor’s or advanced degree
At least three to five years of Admissions experience, preferable in independent schools
