Develops, executes, assesses Office of Admission policies and procedures, strategies, and goals.
Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
Coordinates enrollment goals with the senior leadership team and leads enrollment management initiatives that engage the entire school community.
Builds strong relationships with outside institutions or groups (feeder schools, educational consultants, civic organizations, etc.) that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
Ensures the Office of Admission represents the school in the best possible fashion to prospective applicants, using feedback to inform the selection process to maximize future success.
Oversees the preparation of reports/statistics for Head of School, Board of Trustees, etc.
Manages the Admission budget
Prepare and maintain statistics regarding enrollment, geographical distribution of students, financial aid, and attrition.
Coordinate and participate in special events involving prospective students. Promote good relationships with outside institutions or groups (schools, libraries, civic associations, nursery schools, real estate agencies, etc.) which can be helpful in attracting quality students.
Serve on the leadership team, reporting directly to the head of school
Coordinate four essential elements to ensure a competitive admissions process and the long-term health of the student body and broader alumni/ae base:
admission management (the tracking of prospective students from the applicant to enrollment and beyond)
research (analyzing data that affect enrollment)
A bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
Five to seven years of experience in education, preferably in admissions
Ability to think critically and creatively
Proven success in a senior administrative role, preferably working with a board
Demonstrated leadership qualities
The ability to work collaboratively with other school community members
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel as needed, including internationally
