Overview of the Opportunity
St. Francis Episcopal School, located in Houston, TX, is seeking a Head of Admissions and Enrollment Management to lead a relationship-based and data-driven admissions program. The Head of Admissions and Enrollment Management will manage operations for the school’s PK-12 admissions program, with a focus on Upper School. The Head of Admissions and Enrollment Management will supervise the school’s admissions team, and in conjunction with senior leadership, will set strategy and priorities for all aspects of recruitment from the point of inquiry to enrolling. The ideal candidate will have a customer-service orientation, a commitment to the school’s Episcopal Mission, and strong interpersonal skills.
St. Francis Episcopal enjoys robust enrollment in its PK-8 grades and is viewed as one of, if not the preeminent PK-8 Episcopal schools in the competitive Houston Market. In 2018, after five years of preparation, the school launched its high school program with a small but dedicated class of 25 students. The next Head of Admissions and Enrollment Management will serve a pivotal role in communicating the vision and strategy for attracting mission appropriate students to the new upper school with a significant focus on retention between grades 8-9 and identifying new markets beyond the traditional ones that have served St. Francis so well in the past.
The Head of Admissions and Enrollment Management reports directly to the Head of School, serves on the senior leadership team, and serves as Chair of the financial aid committee. The Head will have significant influence in shaping the school’s approach to community outreach, recruiting and scholarship, and how best to use financial aid dollars to attract the best and brightest from the Houston area and beyond.

3-5 years of admissions experience in independent or higher education.
Master's Degree in Education Administration or appropriate degree/work experience.
Ability to relate effectively with other administrators, teachers, operations staff, parents , and students.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
