Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, is searching for an Admission Coordinator for its Admission Office. The position will be available in mid-August and will require 40 hours per week during the school year. Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola University Maryland, accessible from Charles Street and I-83.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Provides general assistance and administrative support to members of the Admission Office.
Meets and guides prospective parents through the admission and enrollment process.
Manages the Admission database, creates applicant files, and sends all communication to applicant families.
Schedules testing and conducts tours of the School.
Manages the Admission calendar and coordinates dates of events with the All-School calendar.
Assists with planning events and attends Admission events on and off campus, as needed.
Creates necessary reports and analysis for the Director of Admission regarding enrollment, recruitment, Admission Committee, and testing.
Processes transcripts, recommendation forms, and all other necessary paperwork for applicants and current students, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma with two to four years of related experience and/or training is required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, telephone manners, organization skills, and the ability to work with independence in dealing with the diverse elements of the academic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with database management is preferred. This position requires absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
