The Communications department is responsible for effective and strategic communications and marketing with all the school’s constituencies through printed materials, web content, electronic media, and social networks. This position requires the ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with the Director of Communications and others throughout the school community to ensure consistent and effective communications.

Work with Director of Communications to create and support comprehensive communications strategies to market the school effectively to its external constituencies and ensure that all internal and external communications are consistent in look and feel
Create engaging content (stories, photos and videos) for Foote’s website and social media channels; ensure regular updating
Produce lively and timely videos for school website, e-newsletters, special events and social media channels
Assist with the weekly production of E-News to parents
Participate in and support the Marketing Committee, including the design of ads
Provide writing, editing and proofreading assistance for Foote’s varied publications, including the Foote Prints magazine, E-News, admissions viewbook, summer program catalog, fund-raising materials, academics and athletics publications, calendars, invitations, programs and posters for school events
Participate as a member of the Development staff, planning and participating in school events and fund-raising programs
Other responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong experience in communications
Ability to plan for and manage multiple tasks and set priorities, meet deadlines, work within budgets, and oversee many projects at once
Proficiency with web design, and video- and image-editing software, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Fluency with social media; experience with Microsoft Office suite, Mac operating system, and html
Excellent written and verbal skills
