Bancroft School seeks a dynamic and collaborative Director of Admission and Financial Aid to lead a three-person team as it recruits families and determines a mutual fit between students and the School’s curricular and co-curricular programs in Pre-K through Grade 12. The Director of Admission collaborates with a team to develop and implement the School’s marketing plan, organizes and supervises the admission process, presents the school to prospective families, and works with school leadership to administer financial assistance.

The Director of Admission reports to the Head of School, works closely with division heads, and serves on the Administrative Team. Bancroft School seeks a skilled and experienced administrator to join the senior leadership team, run a vibrant admission office, and work with the whole Bancroft community to aid in the admissions and retention process. The Director of Admission will not only be an advocate for enrollment, they will also be engaged with issues that influence school life and have an impact on faculty, students, and their families at Bancroft School.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment to growing through networking and lifelong learning, model outstanding character and empathy, and demonstrate passion, flexibility, and teamwork. The individual should be a skilled relationship builder who communicates well with students, parents, and colleagues; invests in the school community; and facilitates a family-centered admission process. Proficiency with technology, including database and website management, is a plus. They should be experienced in successfully training, managing, and mentoring a motivated staff and determining the appropriate role of financial aid in optimizing enrollment management.
Candidates must have a professional, genuine, and welcoming demeanor; excellent skills in oral and written communication; and the ability to achieve ambitious goals, meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, and handle multiple assignments in a busy environment. They should also possess a background in independent school education or university recruitment, admissions experience with a proven track record of success, and hold an advanced degree.
