Greenhills School, an independent college preparatory school serving young people in grades 6-12 in Ann Arbor, Mich., is seeking an associate director of admission. The associate director works closely with the director of admission to carefully select students for our curious, intellectually exceptional, and diverse student body. The associate director will collaborate regularly with the administrative assistant to provide support to the director as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Administering admission policy, procedures, and decisions; serving on the admission committee and distributing materials as it relates to admission decisions; scheduling visits to the school for prospective students, conducting interviews, and arranging for current students to serve as hosts; heading the Gryphon Ambassador student group; handling correspondence between applicants’ families and the school; participating in school policy and report preparation as related to admissions, enrollment projections, student information, and statistics; and attending special on- and off-campus admission-related events. Other duties will include those typically expected of independent school faculty members, including advising, coaching, co-curricular work, team meetings, chaperoning, committee work, and the general supervision of students. Significant experience in independent schools and work in admission offices will be clear assets and is preferred. Applicants should have experience working with CRM databases.
