Pardes Jewish Day School seeks a full time Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management to begin ASAP.
The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management is responsible for all aspects of the Admissions program. He/she reports to the Head of School and is a key member of the Administrative Team. The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management will be an individual who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm, dedication, professionalism, knowledge and affability and whose exceptional professional, communication, and interpersonal skills will enable him/her to build and lead an exemplary enrollment management program that ensures the attraction and retention of mission appropriate students and their families to Pardes. As part of the school’s Advancement Team, this individual will be a prominent face for the school and will play a strategic role in the advancement of Pardes Jewish Day School with the Director of Strategic Communications and Director of School Advancement.
Oversee all aspects of the admissions program, including collaborating on the establishment of enrollment goals, community outreach goals, managing open houses, tours, kindergarten play dates and student shadow days, parent interviews, and all aspects of the admissions process
Develop and host visitor mornings, open houses, kindergarten previews, and other admissions events
Establish and maintain contact with prospective families throughout the admissions cycle in a timely and professional manner
Create and execute a student recruitment plan, identifying and recruiting mission-appropriate students to ensure that the strategic admissions goals are met
Articulate clarity on school’s identity
Create a working annual admissions plan to enhance the admissions process and to improve enrollment and retention rates
Work with the diverse communities from which Pardes draws. This includes geographic, educational and religious
Provide outreach to develop and maintain relationships between the school and local synagogues, preschools and pre-kindergartens, as well as with leaders of various synagogues and community organizations in the surrounding areas
Implement appropriate retention strategies
Nurture and maintain a highly collaborative relationship with the Head of School, the Director of School Advancement, The Director of Strategic Communication, the members of the Board, and the faculty of the lower and middle schools
Create enrollment and applicant reports to track enrollment history, as well as creating school-based data analysis, using key performance indicators to continuously improve recruitment and retention strategies and processes
Communicate frequently and through a variety of media with parents regarding re-enrollment
With the Director of Strategic Communications and the Director of School Advancement, devise and make recommendations for both internal and external strategic marketing and communication plans that advance and drive increased engagement with prospective and current constituencies including but not limited to prospective families, as well as increasing awareness of Pardes to targeted admissions entry points and in line with the school’s vision and values. Develop systems to chart the effectiveness of strategies
Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Communications and Director of School Advancement to provide strategic recommendations for all school marketing/advertising including print, online, and social campaigns. This includes working with our consultants/marketing firm in the creation of content for all marketing materials including digital print publications as well as annual advertising campaign, invitations, email marketing strategy, etc.
Facilitate a strong parent community that inspires families to remain at Pardes
With the Director of Strategic Communications, assist with the coordination of school celebrations and events for current families
Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Communications on the Pardes FAN base and implementation of FAN initiatives.
Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Communications to innovate parent events that allow parents representing a broad socioeconomic spectrum to feel connected with the school and one another
Experience as a proven admissions professional, preferably in a Jewish Day School
Knowledge of independent schools and Jewish day schools, preferably K-8 schools
Ability to synthesize the School’s profile and messaging clearly, concisely, and compellingly to internal and external constituencies
Knowledge of admissions processes, from inquiry to matriculation to retention, in the K- 8 independent school model, as well as a clear understanding of the principles of enrollment management for today’s independent schools
Organizational/managerial skills to lead all admissions initiatives
Creative problem solving skills
Knowledge and understanding of school-based data analysis, using key performance indicators to continuously improve recruitment and retention strategies and processes
