MSD is seeking an Assistant Director of Admission to support the enrollment of wonderful families in our school. We are looking for a fun, creative, detailed and forward-thinking, collaborative, and all-around fantastic person to join our community of 70 staff and 340 students from 2 years through 8th grade.
The Assistant Director of Admission represents the school, and will be able to:
•Articulate the value of an independent school education in our Montessori environment.
•Utilize a data-driven, mission-driven approach to finding solutions.
•Communicate genuinely and warmly and in a polished manner, both verbally and in writing.
•Prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
•Work proficiently with database systems and Microsoft Office applications (Blackbaud knowledge is a plus).
•Assist with scheduling tours, student visits, and parent meetings.
•Assist in creating, updating, and printing marketing materials.
•Engage with prospective families in person, on the telephone, and in written communication in efforts to increase each family’s connectivity with the school.
•Contribute to all aspects of the admission process, including communications, visits, tours, and Admission Committee meetings.
•Plan and execute thoughtful MSD admission events and represent MSD at community events.
•Attend Admissions Open Houses, assisting in coordinating and planning.
•Partner with faculty to support the retention of current students.
•Work well with and collaborate with the Administrative Team.
•Demonstrate these essential qualities: a positive attitude, creativity, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
This full-time, twelve-month position reports to the Director of Admission. A Bachelor's degree is required and preference will be given to candidates with Montessori, independent school, or college admissions experience.
