The Admission Office seeks an Associate Director of Admission to join the admission team in the work of recruitment, admission, enrollment and retention at Rowland Hall, specifically on the McCarthey Campus (2PreK through fifth grade). The position involves extensive time with prospective families, as well as a large volume of communication via phone and email. It demands a high level of professionalism, organizational skills, emotional intelligence and technological expertise. This is a full time, 12-month, exempt position and reports to the Director of Admission.
Oversee Beginning School admission process from start to finish
Help applicants complete all portions of the admission application
Strategize with Admission Director and Marketing team to develop specific marketing plan for Beginning School
Prepare Saturday morning group visits for Beginning School applicants
Prepare applicant files for review with Principal and Admission Director
Assist Lower School families in application process with admission team
Conduct tours along with admission team
Communicate with prospective parents by phone and email
Assist prospective families in navigating the admission portal
Conduct admission testing: administer the OLSAT individually to 3rd through 5th grade applicants
Prepare files for review by Lower School admission committees
Plan, prepare and run admission and welcome events on McCarthey campus
Organize participation in community street fairs
Develop new outreach initiatives
Enhance social media effort
Cultivate relationships with local preschools; attend off-campus events
Network with current families to match host families with newly enrolled families
Participate in Inclusion and Equity Committee
The admission team seeks a highly self-motivated, culturally competent, creative individual. Experience in admissions and/or in education is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, a welcoming presence and flexibility are essential; a sense of humor is appreciated.

have earned a Bachelor’s degree or more
possess exceptional organizational skills, being able to prioritize tasks with minimal direction
demonstrate excellent technical skills, including familiarity with Excel, Word, Google Docs and
navigating a database.

The candidate will work with the admission team comprised of the Director, the McCarthey Campus Admission Systems Manager and Director of Financial Aid, the Lincoln Campus Assistant Director of Admission and the Administrative Assistant. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Optimal start date: June 25, 2018.
