The WRUS Advancement & Communications Associate will have opportunity to immediately impact the overall success and growth of the school through direct collaboration and support for the Executive Director and Director of Admisssions and Enrollment Management. This person must be a team-oriented, detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter, with an ability to be flexible and proactive. Must be able to envision and demonstrate understanding for short and long term objectives of the school's needs as they relate to Advancement. This person will collaborate with faculty and staff to produce internal school events as well as support for fundraising events. The position will have the lead in managing donor management software. Also responsible for assisting in the production and maintenance of school communications - print, and digital. The position supports Advancement, Development, Marketing and Admissions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee and coordinate in-school events
Support larger development fundraising events. Collaboration with Board and committees required.
Partner with appropriate program staff to proactively ensure event planning processes.
Support for Admissions fairs and Open Houses.
Development Office Administration
Maintain up to date and accurate Development data, utilizing E-tapestry.
Maintain and update all development-related files.
Create Development reports as requested (including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
Process gift payments.
Facilitate gift acknowledgements.
Ensure all supplies for development and marketing are ordered and stocked as needed.
Manage large-scale mailings.
Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers
Collaborate with Admissions Director to produce Speaker Series open to public
Provide assistance to Executive Director and Director of Admissions as needed.
Support Director of Admissions in guiding market and competitive research to adjust marketing strategy to address and gain competitive advantage in advertising the School
Collaborate with Advancement staff to produce and maintain external marketing materials, website activity, and social media with focus on prospective parents and Admissions
Team with Dir. of Admissions to produce copy and coordinate timing, specs and venues for print, email and web-based Open Houses ads as well as other Admissions based ads scattered throughout the year.
Collaborate with Exec. Director and Dir Admissions to track and assign press releases throughout the year
Produce periodic school newsletter
Assist in the production of the School’s Annual Report
