York Country Day School is seeking a full-time Director of Communications to begin May 7, 2018. In conjunction with YCDS leadership, the Director of Communications will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the school’s online presence, including its website and social media communications.
Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Communications is responsible for the development of content for the school’s website and social media networks, including the production of videos to be shared through these and other vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of website content management systems and web analytics tools, photography; excellent project management, planning and prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines; excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills; experience creating and placing advertisements, as well as preparing marketing materials; and the ability to develop positive working relationships with a broad range of internal and external audiences and leverage resources and gain cooperation across multiple departments. York Country Day School serves 260 students across three divisions. YCDS is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools.
Experience is preferred. A bachelor's degree is required. Knowledge and experience with graphic design and photo editing software a plus. Salary and benefits are competitive.
