Darlington School seeks an Assistant Director of Boarding Admission to work with members of the enrollment management team in the school's recruitment and retention efforts. This position will focus on 9th-12th boarding admission for international and domestic students. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
The Assistant Director will represent Darlington both on and off campus to prospective students, their families, and various constituencies. This position will research, plan and execute recruitment strategies for specific areas and student populations. These strategies will include significant seasonal travel and weekend and evening work to visit schools, organizations, consultants, families and alumni, and host events.
The Assistant Director will create and maintain close relationships with prospective students and their families, guiding them through the admission process and helping them transition into Darlington. She or he will coordinate with members of the admission team and the Darlington Community in the creation and execution of school visits and special events.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or education, and at least three years of admission experience, or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or education, with a demonstrated record of success. The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented, flexible, and collaborative team member with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This self-starter must be passionate about working with teenagers, being an enthusiastic member of our diverse school community, and having fun as a member of an energetic team.
