Stone Ridge is seeking a Director of Enrollment Management to begin on July 1, 2018.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The Director of Enrollment Management provides leadership for and manages all aspects of the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment process. S/he works with the Admissions Team to prepare and maintain statistics regarding geographical distribution of students, enrollment, and attrition. S/he interprets these statistics, when appropriate, to the Administrative Team, faculty, and Board of Trustees in turn, collaborating with appropriate stakeholders on strategic planning around enrollment trends and goals. S/he coordinates all re-enrollment and enrollment activity, including the planning of special events involving prospective students and families, with constant monitoring of attrition and retention. Working with other members of the Administration, the Director of Enrollment Management organizes specific retention efforts at the key grade levels and meets or exceeds enrollment goals for all target recruitment areas.
S/he serves as a member of admissions committees and supports the financial aid committee to evaluate and execute admission decisions on applicant files. Beyond Stone Ridge, s/he promotes good relationships with outside institutions or groups with the aim of attracting mission appropriate students. A member of the all-school Administrative Team, the Director of Enrollment Management works closely with other school leaders, led by the Head of School, to implement the School’s strategic initiatives, manage the budget, and develop the School’s policies and calendar.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years admissions experience in a college, independent, or Catholic school setting and possesses a Bachelor’s, preferably in marketing, communications, or education. S/he possesses some supervisory or management experience. S/he demonstrates excellent writing and communication skills, a capacity for organization, and flexibility. Prior experience with leadership in an independent or Catholic school, success in sales/marketing, and experience working with a database management system (e.g. Veracross or Blackbaud) are valued but not required skills. S/he has a deep understanding of school organizations and is committed to giving life to the School’s mission.
