Sitting on 100 acres of rolling hills in western Massachusetts, Stoneleigh-Burnham School includes a progressive model middle school (grades 7-8) that creates a bookend to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program offered to juniors and seniors. Job Description: Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid will shape and implement the comprehensive strategy for the School's recruitment initiatives and oversee all financial aid decisions. She/he is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the Admissions office, planning, initiating, and directing all Admissions office activities.
The Director of Admissions and Financial Aid will work closely with other administrative departments of the School. Leading the Admissions associates, the Director is committed to providing friendly, confidential and timely assistance to all families and facilitating a smooth application process for prospective students and families. The person in this position conducts essential on and off-campus recruiting in support of the school’s enrollment plan. The candidate is also responsible for developing a variety of reports that will be useful in the decision-making process at the administrative and Board of Trustees levels.
Essential Job Functions Include:
Managing all aspects of student enrollment and retention.
Establishing, articulating and executing admissions policies and procedures.
Determining the annual enrollment plan and leading his/her team to execute it, within the framework of current strategic goals.
Overseeing representation of SBS locally, regionally, and nationally in admissions-oriented associations.
Working with the Director of Marketing and Communications on Admissions-related print and online materials and messaging.
Managing financial aid, in conjunction with the Business Office.
Managing and evaluating Admissions staff and volunteers, including parent volunteers.
Being responsible for the Admissions office budget.
Preparing reports on Admissions-related data for the Board of Trustees, attending Board meetings as appropriate, and sitting as the lead administrator on the Enrollment Management Committee.
Directing the Admissions Committee and serving on the Administrative Team.
Serving in other capacities on behalf of the School, as necessary.
Reporting to the Head of School.
Compensation: Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, and or related field is required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an academic setting, preferably in an independent boarding school
Knowledge of advanced recruiting technology and strategies
Proven ability to lead and manage others successfully
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple projects with frequent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff, and the public
Appreciation of and the ability to market girls’ education
A sense of humor
